Update

I have not been blog active at all. It's hard to know why I would keep a blog. I've no real reason other than I like the idea of being in control of it and writing what I want. There are some very serious devotees to the blog crusade. Maybe I'll give it a go for a while and see what happens. I will try upload video blogs as much as possible.
For a start I think I'll review the issues of the day and try to be mildly amusing. I'm not selling this very well am I ?

CatDiary

OK, I have decided that I am going to try and do a video diary of the Cat Laughs this weekend. I have no idea what it will be like, but I will try to make it fun and stuff. Stuff ? Handy word when you run out of words and stuff.
So here is the tester blog diary video thingy. A taster perhaps....ok, I'm still trying to work out how to use the camcorder and load video to the blog !!



So there you have it. My first video uploady thingy. As you can see it's distinctively underwhelming, but screw you, I never liked you anyway.
Only messin ! Ha ! You should have seen your face. You were like 'Oh my God, Eric doesn't like me ! Just for thinking his video blog was a bit crap'

Tomorrow I depart for Kilkenny. Hopefully that coincides with an upturn in the quality of my video diary. If not, you've only yourselves to blame. What ?

Blog Cherry

Ok, I have no idea why I am doing this, but it's something new so I thought I'd give it a try.
For the past 8 weeks I have been the warmup act for the Craig Doyle show out in RTE. We record on Wednesday and it's broadcast on Saturday night. Last Wednesday was the last show. I met Jedward. Yes. I did. My kids were well impressed so I knew they would be impressed with a pic of their old man and I asked the security guard to take it. I guess he was not very au fait with technology as this is the pic he took. They are the hands of Jedward on my shoulders.

Have to say I am very excited about the impending Cat Laughs weekend in Kilkenny on the June Bank Holiday weekend. It's just an amazing feeling to be part of a fantastic comedy festival like this and to be on the bill with some of the very best in the business. I have shows with Dara O'Briain, Des Bishop, Colin Murphy. Alun Cochrane amongst others. I hope I don't let myself down and can justify inclusion amongst some of these superbly talented and gifted comedians. I will be doing 5 shows down there and it cannot come quick enough now ! I will be dusting off the old football boots for the big showdown with the Rest of the World team on the Sunday. We lost 4-2 last year and revenge is on our minds !

Ok, so there is my first blog. Boring, wasn't it ? I'll try figure out what I can do with this and hopefully make it a lot more entertaining. Blog cherry is now popped
